ITIL 4 Foundation Course Being Released

The release of ITIL 4, the evolution of  is driving a revolution in the way training materials are being used. Together with ITpreneurs, Optimal Connections, LLC is creating an extensive set of materials to use for our upcoming ITIL 4 training sessions.

ITIL 4 Foundation Course (New)

This 3 day foundation course provides IT leaders, practitioners, support staff and staff interfacing with the organization’s digital and information systems functions with a practical understanding of the key concepts, common language, principles and practices that enables successful management of modern IT-enabled services. It also prepares delegates for the ITIL Foundation Certificate Examination. The course is based on the ITIL 4 best practice service value system featured in the latest 2019 guidelines.

Classroom students will take the ITIL 4 Foundation certification exam in class on the last day. Students in live, instructor-led virtual sessions will receive a voucher to schedule their exam via webcam proctor at their convenience.

Course objectives:

  • Key IT service management concepts
  • How ITIL guiding principles can help and organization to adopt and adapt service management
  • The 4 dimensions of service management
  • The purpose and components of the service value system
  • The activities of the service value chain and how the interconnect
  • Know the purpose of key ITIL practices
  • Preparation to sit the ITIL 4 foundation examination

The course will consist of pre and post course reading, live instructor led training & discussions, exercises throughout using a case study, a quick reference card, handouts, a sample exam, and sample questions to prepare students for the exam.

ITIL 4 Foundation Course Delivery

The ITIL 4 Foundation course will initially be delivered on behalf of our partners, or directly to customers through a training agreement. Initial deliveries of the course will begin in February, 2019. Following initial training in Q1 2019, we will be rolling out an on-line version of the course (initially live instructor led, and later an online self-paced version of the course).

Paul M. Dooley, an ITIL Expert and a Partner and Contributor to ITIL 4 training content developed by ITpreneurs, will be the instructor for the new ITIL 4 Foundation training course.
